During Open Studio, emphasis is placed on the formal content of art education, including art elements and design principles, aesthetics, history, production, and criticism. The goal is to refine the eye and the hand. This course is open to middle school students who wish to build a portfolio, as well as those who want to gain more experience. I recommend that students take the Foundations course with me as a prerequisite to this advanced study course.

For children who love to create art: Drawing, Watercolor, Collage, and Paint on Canvas projects! Perfect for beginners, as well as for those with experience. This class encourages creativity and self-expression, helps build confidence, strengthens fine-motor skills, develops hand-eye coordination, promotes focus and concentration, and inspires a creative approach to problem-solving. Students will complete the semester program with a beautiful collection of artwork.

FRIDAYS: Creative Collective, On-Site (6 Max)

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM    (Adults)

For adult creatives who are interested in developing and/or strengthening their drawing/painting/creativity skills. Grab a glass of wine (and a snack!)- Come vibe with me (and other creatives) in my personal studio! I will help you improve your technique, build a more confident foundation for visual expression, and become more sophisticated in your craft. Over the course of seven weeks, you will refine your creative toolbox as you learn to see the world through the eyes of an artist.

SUNDAYS: Explorations / Foundations, On-Site (6 students)

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM  (Ages 10+)

‘Foundations’ is an introduction to the building blocks of Fine Art. This class is for students who are ready to learn the formal content of art education while refining skills and improving technique. A MUST for middle school students who plan to pursue visual art in High School. Open to upper elementary school students who are ready for more than just the basics. Refine your artistry by learning to see the world through the eyes of an artist.
